What are numbers?
The formal study of numbers is known as Mathematics, but the study of their power and their relationship with the world around us, and your life on Earth is known as Numerology.
For thousands of years scientists and mathematicians around the world have known that numbers have a special significance and are not just for counting.
Around 600 BCE Pythagoras, the Greek philosopher, astrologer, and mathematician is recognised as the first person to study numbers in detail. He put forth the theory that everything in nature could be expressed as a number. His other theories are studied and taught in schools and universities worldwide.
Before now you may have thought that numbers are man-made with no connection to the the natural world. The truth is numbers are everywhere – nature could not exist without some numerical logic. Numerology Definitions
- Birth Name: The name given to you at birth. If a name change occurs before the age of 13, the new name can be used.
- Birthday Number: The day on which you were born reduced to a single number or master number. It is one of the four core elements. It is 10% of the core. It is also known as the sub-opportunity because it is a minor opportunity that is part of the main opportunity presented by the life path.
- Challenge Number: Represents an obstacle generally encountered before the age of 21.
- Core Numbers: Consists of the life path, expression, soul urge, and birthday numbers.
- Destiny Number: This energy is partly influenced by you and partly influenced by the world around you. Those with the same destiny number are believed to follow a similar path through life.
- Effectiveness: Refers to the ability to accomplish something.
- Expression Number: Determines your ability in life. This is 30% of the core.
- Growth Number: Describes the energy that will enhance the experiences in a person’s life. This number is always helpful and never negative even if it is the same as one of the core or sub-elements, it never takes away from their energy, but rather enhances it.
- Intensity Points: Numbers occurring frequently in the karmic lesson chart. They represent lessons, which have been properly learned in past lives.
