IF YOU ANSWERED “NO” TO ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS, YOU DO NOT OWE ANY INCOME TAX and if you follow the directions in Axe The Taxes the IRS will fully cooperate in accepting you as a non-taxpayer.
JUST change the W-4 Form your employer has on you to “EXEMPT.” Then file for a refund for at least the last two years, if you have worked that long. If you haven’t, no problem. This application for a refund is essential. Without it the IRS will refuse your change of status. Be sure to add a copy of your “Affidavit For W-2” from AXE THE TAXES to each application for refund to the IRS and every communication with them. This is essential. Be sure the signature is fresh. If it isn’t, sign it again in blue ink. You will now be exempt. You should not have to file a tax return at the end of the year.
Under present law, we are assumed by the courts and by all officials to be under territorial law. This is “the land of the free and the home of the brave” and people cannot be taxed with an income tax unless they earn money from a privilege such as a license; they earn money in a Federal territory, possession or enclave, or have profits from stocks and bonds, or work for a state or Federal government.
I know it is confusing, but that is the way it is, and I definitely believe the confusion is intentional.
“It is a well-established principle of law that all federal legislation applies only within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States unless a contrary intent appears.” Foley Brothers, Inc. vs Filardo, 336 U.S. 281 (1948). Constitutional law always applies within the States. However, it does NOT apply in Federal territories, possessions (islands belonging the U. S. such as Guam), and enclaves (post offices, national parks, military bases), where the IRS can tax people.
